About Me

Mother of 2, Child of God in DMV "They always ask me if I make it am I going to forget about them, but the question is, if I don't make it will they forget about me?" My spin : RealTalk When u are up everyone wants to hang on, but look for the ones that let you lean on when you are down. Remember...don't just look for me when I am up, support me when I'm down. ♥ In prosperity, your friends know you, in adversity, you know your friends. I asked God for strength, I got adversity. I asked God for wisdom, I was made a fool of. I asked for patience, I had a difficult relationship. I looked back, He gave me what I asked for. Adversity showed me I was stronger than I thought; being a fool opened my eyes to discernment making me wise; the difficult relationship showed me that patience is earned not given. Blessings come in many forms, not all of them recognizable.

Online Dating...some observations

So I have been delving into online dating...and to tell you the truth, I am discouraged.
The grammar police in me cringes when I get grammatically incorrect messages or I read profiles peppered with grammatical and spelling errors.  I am really trying not to be an online dating snob...really trying to be open minded....but dang...would spell check hurt a brother?!?!?  Can I get a comma with that period?!?!  At 40+ you really should know the difference between their, there, and they're.  Truly.  Men is already plural, no need to add an "s".

Okay, so maybe I am not ready yet.  LOL   Just some observations about the 40+ year old me in the dating world.

LOL I tried the online dating thing a few months ago and I couldn't do it, largely because of what you just said. I cannot take a man seriously when his profile is peppered with misspellings, bad grammar, and juvenile thoughts. I just can't. Especially at my age. There's no reason for it; hell, you know you misspelled your word because of the red lines. Can you NOT see those red lines?!?! I hated that I felt uppity flat out rejecting guys based on that, but really, if you can't be bothered to write out a coherent clear thought and put in the effort on a silly ass online profile, then I know you won't put in effort in real life, ya'know??

Laki! I know right. There is a point in life when we stop overlooking what others may consider "small things". The reality is that at some point, we realize these small things snowball into "deal breakers". I will no longer settle just to say I have someone.
